Access and equity in education for students and their families is the foundation for supporting the historic transition we are undergoing in our society.

Corporate foundations, institutions, and family offices can place capital into fixed-income vehicles that support pre-college and college access for under-served students and their families to spur the massive workforce redevelopment required over the coming decades.

Kirby Creek Capital Partners seeks to partner with corporate foundations, institutions, and family offices in directing philanthropic capital into long-standing federally funded and private foundation educational equity programs that have been supporting pre-college and college programs for under-served students for decades.

Using structured finance vehicles, this form of impact investing can be designed to provide the sources of committed capital with a return on investment that can be received upon exit, contributed entirely to the areas of target impact, or some combination thereof.

Kirby Creek Capital Partners CEO, Stan Carter, has worked closely with federally funded TRIO and GEAR UP programs, as well as with private educational foundations, as a consultant related to various areas of social equity in education, college readiness, access to educational resources, and financial literacy. There is a tremendous need for supplemental funding of many programs that are federally or privately funded. Many of these programs fall short of the overall need for effective educational equity for low-income and first-generation college-bound students in grades 6-12 or college students from under-served family backgrounds.

Having a trustworthy financial vehicle for participating in the educational needs of the future workforce and professional contributors to our society can streamline the process of getting capital already earmarked for philanthropy placed in viable and reliable impact investing vehicles is key. Generating a fixed income during the holding period as well as participation in the upside of fund deal flow contributes to philanthropic placement goals.
